The Brosseau vineyard was planted in 1981 starting with Chardonnay and is situated in the legendary Chalone AVA made famous in the Judgement of Paris in 1976. Planted in decomposed granite and limestone, coupled with the age of the vines, this vineyard produces wines with striking minerality and depth. We have had the pleasure of working with the Brosseau family since our first Syrah bottling in 2005. We have since produced Chardonnay and Grenache from this vineyard as well.
