Another classic expression from this legendary, organically-certified vineyard in Chalone. On the nose, intense blueberry reduction, star anise, black fig, and clove jump out of the glass with each swirl. On the palate it is of medium weight with plush layered blackberry, peppercorn, bay leaf, and graphite flavors intermingling. This exotic wine will age for up to 10 years, but if drinking in the near term, give it about 30 minutes of air or a quick decant.
