This wine is everything that cool climate Cab Franc should be. It is our nod to the rustic wines of the Loire Valley, but with the pop of fruit that you expect from a grape grown under California sunshine. The 2021 is layered and dense with scents of spice, roses, sage, and lavender. The palate has intertwined flavors of blueberry, black pepper, and raspberry. Light, chalky tannins give the wine great posture, and the freshness of the aromatics is backed up by a line of fresh acidity. This wine drinks well now but should improve for the next 8-10 years.
