On the nose, hints of jasmine and chamomile and Meyer lemon shine through. On the palate, fresh flavors of tart pear, tangerine, and green apple. The texture is equal parts plush and vibrant. This is a versatile, easy drinking wine that would go well with a multitude of dishes, from subtle to spicy. Planted to steep hillsides on our Russian River Valley winery estate, our small Picpoul Blanc vineyard is planted on a northeast facing slope, receiving earlier, cooler sun exposure. In the south of France, Picpoul Blanc is a common, everyday sipper that goes well with many different foods, including shellfish and sharp, dried cheeses.
