My sister currently lives out in Louisville and has recently become engaged, so whenever she visits us in Petaluma it is special occasion that needs to be marked with a great bottle of wine. As I am the wine worker of the family, the task of picking out that perfect bottle falls on my shoulders, naturally.  I recently went into the Copain cellar and purchased myself a bottle of the 2010 Kiser “En Haut” Pinot Noir, and it was nothing short of stunning. The nose showed pronounced notes of dried figs, wet stones, and anise. The racy and lively Kiser “En Haut” aromatically soared beyond the glass and filled my family’s dining room. I love that little remote vineyard up in Anderson Valley and this was a wine that has never disappointed, especially when paired with family and friends.
